Bird photography is very difficult and needs patience.
Birds are always in action looking for foods , and are very attentive.
Birds re always alert and keep checking for threat from other creature.
We need to learn bird species,Habits and there diet to know where they can be found.
For example
Cranes, Duck , Herons can be found in most lakes, ponds.
We should not dress in bright dark colours as birds gets distracted and fly away.
Try wearing khaki, light colour clothes when you go for bird photography.
The Golden hours is best time to shoot birds the lighting is superb
The Golden hours in photography are Sunrise and Sunset. The light is of golden colour during this time.
Few tips for good birds shots
Use higher Shutter Speed
Example 1/3000 to 1/1000 Sec
Try to use larger lens (Zoom lens).Larger zoom gets u good Depth Of Field
If we are too close then birds will fly away.
Use Smaller Aperture so that you can get Bokeh.(F 2.5 )
i.e, You get Birds in full focus and background is completely out of focus
Composition
Try to get plain background as possible
Shoot from different sides/Angle. (Left,Top,Right)
Leave Positive space in the direction where the birds is seeing.
